Pension Miss Sophie is located in the countryside. In just 5 minutes on foot you can reach the idyllic Kyritzer Untersee. Our house is a traditional family business. Since 1993 our guests have been able to enjoy a cozy place to stay. In 2015, rooms and buildings were completely renovated under a new concept. In 2021 we, Kai and Sönke Weigel, took over the pension
and changed a lot for you in the pandemic!

The Pension Miss Sophie is a few minutes' walk from the Kyritzer Untersee in the midst of the beautiful landscape of the Prignitz. Our house has enjoyed many guests since 1993. In 2015, rooms and buildings were completely renovated under a new concept.
In January 2021 we took over the pension.

Our guests park for free, directly in front of the pension. Our house offers secure parking for your bikes, as well as 2 rental pedelecs for our guests. Free WiFi is available in all rooms. Every morning you start the day with a delicious breakfast with many regional delicacies, which we will of course serve at your table.

At Miss Sophie, our guests can expect a leisurely breakfast with homemade fruit spreads, salads, cold cuts, cheese, fruit, egg dishes and small additional delicacies and surprises.
We source all groceries regionally.
Coffee and cake and also an evening meal can be arranged by prior arrangement
freshly prepared for you.

The renovated Lido of Kyritz is from our pension just a few minutes walk through the
"Fairytale Forest " right on the Untersee. Or you can rent an oar, canoe or pedal boat here for a small boat trip along the Kyritz chain of lakes to enjoy the tranquility of nature.

The term "Kyritz an der Knatter" is known nationwide. St. Marys Church, the city wall and the remains of the former Franciscan monastery are also interesting. The idyllic landscape around the Kyritz chain of lakes invites you to water sports, hiking and cycling. Be sure to try the Kyritzer beer named " murder and manslaughter" in our pension after a nice day of vacation!

Hikers and cyclists are always welcome at Miss Sophie! The best way to discover the beauty of the Prignitz is on foot or by bike. Cycle through natural forests and past crystal-clear lakes. Discover beautifully restored old towns and buildings steeped in history. Our Pension Miss Sophie is the ideal starting point for adventurous hikes and long bike tours through the beautiful Brandenburg region.
The Way of St. James is only a few kilometers away.

The open-air exhibition was revised in 2010 and offers a lot of information and memories of the incredible fate of 16,000 prisoners of Sachsenhausen concentration camp.
As beautiful and peaceful as our land is, this chapter must never be forgotten and never repeated. Definitely worth seeing.
